A complete obituary will appear in the Sunday Post Crescent. Duchow, LeRoy A. Appleton Age 75, died at home Thursday, March 20, 2003 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on December 10, 1927 to the late Ervin and Frieda (Schmidt) Duchow. LeRoy loved to help at his church, and was a part time janitor there.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching auto racing. She was born May 8, 1915 in Appleton; daughter of the late Reinhardt and Bertha (Sombke) Hooyman. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1933 and enjoyed attending monthly class reunions. She married Thomas Butler, September 4, 1937 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton; sharing 65 years together.

She was employed for several years at Zwicker Knitting Mill. Ramona was a member of St. Mary's Church, served as an instructor with the Appleton Red Cross for many years; and was a member of the Circus Fans of America and the Circus World Museum. She enjoyed playing bingo, going on trips by train and steamboats including the steamboat Delta Queen. She was born on May 6, 1917 in Appleton; the daughter of the late Louis and Wella (Griese) Lillge. They moved to Kaukauna in 1950 and owned and operated Krueger Furniture Store until 1971. They moved to Lake Worth, Florida; her husband Gerald passed away on November 9, 1990 in Florida and she resided there until 1994 when she moved to Janesville, Wisconsin. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Janesville. She is survived by her son, Maynard (Pauline) Krueger of Kaukauna; her daughters: Karen (Donald) Cook of Janesville; Diane Krueger and her special friend Terry Krake of Appleton; and Sherry Gionnaud and her special friend Bob of West Palm Beach, Florida.

There were many important things in Mae's life but her greatest love was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren. Mae is also survived by her sister Lavida Werner, and her brother Gerald Lillge, both of Appleton. She was preceded i in death by her husband Gerald L. Krueger, and a brother-in-law Grover Werner. Gary Gene Nitzske was born June 13, 1943 in New London to Ervin and Madeline (Larsen) Nitzske. He graduated from Shiocton High School in 1961. Gary was united in marriage on July 18, 1964 to Barbara J. McGlone at St.

Mary's Catholic Church, Creek. He started working for Murphy's Construction shortly after high school. The company is now known as MCC Inc. of Appleton where he was a road construction foreman. Gary did road construction for almost 40 years, up until his health allowed.

For many years during this same time period the couple also dairy farmed. Gary is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. He was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. Gary was an outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He especially liked coyote hunting with his dogs. His family and friends feel privileged to have had the chance to be a part of his life. He will be greatly missed. Gary's wife, daughter, and their families would like to thank Gary's family and friends for all of their support in these very hard times. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his mother, Madeline Nitzske of Bonduel; his motherin-law, Jeanette McGlone of Shiocton.

There are three children: Michelle (special friend Bill) Nitzske of Stevens Point; Shaun (Brad) Trever of Mountain; and Carolyn (Jeff) Steede of Shiocton; five grandchildren: Matthew Nitzske, Danielle Trever, Markley Trever, McKayla Trever, Brandon Nitzske, and a sixth one due to be born in May; two brothers: Lester (special friend Linda) Nitzske of Lakewood; and Bruce (Pat) Nitzske of Black Creek; two sisters: Cheryl (Russell) Wilkinson of Shiocton; and Kathy (Bill) Stedjee of Bonduel. Al married Loretta E. Bernhard on September 19, 1942 at St. Vincent Catholic Church, Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on February 28, 1992. Al spent his entire life farming in the Town of Vinland.

He a BS degree in 1973 and a Master's Degree in 1976 from UW Green Bay. On January 7, 1978 Paul married Susan Drath at St.

Mark's Lutheran Church in Symco, Wisconsin. He worked for 25 years at UWStevens Point until his retirement in 2001. At UW- he served as a computer support specialist, a computer science and statistics instructor, and computer literacy workshop leader. He also served part-time as a computer support specialist for both the Almond-Bancroft and Tri-County Plainfield School Districts. As a long time member of the St.

Maximilian Parish Community in southern Portage County, he served as a Eucharist Minister and Minister of Hospitality. He coached tee-ball in the Almond area for several years. He provided computer assistance to many individuals in the area and had served on several university committees. Paul was an avid Packer fan; he ushered for several years at Packer games. He enjoyed playing backyard sports of all types with his family as well as just being in a natural setting.

For many years, reading God's Word was a daily part of his life. Survivors include his wife, Susan, Almond; two sons: Brian, Madison; Anthony (Fiancee Krista Zahradka), Almond; two daughters: Marie, Plover; Renee, Almond; a sister, Cyndee Pearson, Oconto; a brother, Kevin, Green Bay. His parents preceded Paul in death. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe-Lanark at 10 a.m.
