"Tintin, the Immersive Adventure" (2024)

Culturespaces and Tintinimaginatio are joining forces to present Tintin, the Immersive Adventure, from October 21^st to *January 22 2023*, 2022. A unique creation dedicated to The adventures of Tintin, designed especially for the l’Atelier des Lumières, the first digital art centre in Paris.

From paper to digital, there is only one step, which the two partners have decided to take by combining their expertise. Tintinimaginatio, the exclusive worldwide holder of the exploitation and representation rights of Hergé's work, has joined forces with Culturespaces, a pioneer in the creation of unique immersive exhibitions.

From the first edition of Tintin in the Land of the Soviets in 1929 to the most recent editions, Tintin, the Immersive Adventure will honour the famous reporter with a quiff, this great traveller whose adventures around the world have been part of popular culture for almost 100 years.

Promising a singular and immersive presentation of Hergé's work, Tintin, the Immersive Adventure will allow young and old alike... "from 7 to 77 years old”, to (re)immerse themselves in the creative and fictional universe of one of the greatest comic book creators of the 20^st century.

All the characters from the adventures of the famous saga have been convened for this occasion. Tintin and Snowy, plus also the faithful "inner circle" formed by Captain Haddock, the Thom(p)son’s, Professor Calculus, Castafiore and many others. Without forgetting, of course, the unpleasant - but oh so unavoidable - villains.

Come to the l’Atelier des Lumières, from October 21^st, 2022, to discover this colourful aesthetic experience.

Comprising 8 chapters, a prologue and an epilogue, Tintin, the Immersive Adventure invites the visitor to plunge into the universe of Tintin.

Prologue: genesis of Tintin

Tintin, the Immersive Adventure opens with the famous covers of all the books of The Adventures of Tintin, which gradually come to life before our eyes. The clear line of the famous reporter and his faithful companion Snowy will evolve over the adventures, first in black and white in Tintin in the Land of the Soviets and then quickly into colour in The Shooting Star.

Part 1: Tintin, a great reporter

Tintin is above all a great reporter. In all his adventures, he is ready to go to the four corners of the world in search of the truth. Our young hero takes the visitor along with him, covering thousands of kilometres and using all means of transportation on land, air and even under the sea with the famous bathyscaphe, a shark-shaped submarine.

Part 2: Captain Haddock and the inner circle

Whatever the adventure, what would Tintin be without his faithful friends? First of all Snowy, his most faithful canine companion, Captain Haddock, famous for his fiery temper and his extravagant swear words, Professor Calculus, an eccentric, absent-minded genius, the clumsy policemen Thomson and Thompson and many others. This merry band of friends meet at Marlinspike Hall, the illustrious sanctuary of adventures where the sweet and melodious sound of the opera diva Castafiore resounds...

Part 3: the greatest villains

But in his adventures, Tintin must also thwart the evil deeds of unscrupulous characters such as the dreadful Rastapopoulos, the vile Mitsuhirato or the terrifying Rascar Capac who plunges the visitors into a collective hallucination: strange creatures in Cigars of the Pharaoh, mirages of black gold and even the gigantic mushrooms in The Shooting Star. Our heroes find themselves in a predicament, but it won't take long to escape.

Part 4: towards adventure and beyond

Always being pursued, our heroes take visitors on a rocket leaving for the Moon, to the jungle in Tintin and the Picaros and into the cabin in Flight 714 to Sydney. Tintin and his faithful friends will happily emerge victorious and always celebrate the triumphant end of their adventures.

Tintin, The Immersive Adventure ends with the famous blue endpapers from The Adventures of Tintin books and before leaving you’ll see Hergé drawing his favourite character one last time.
